Outdoor Skating at West Lothian Cycle Circuit – May to October
Join us for friendly outdoor skating training at the West Lothian Cycle Circuit during summer. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or just starting out, the smooth, traffic-free track is the perfect place to build skills, boost fitness, and to meet new friends. training sessions are open to all ages and abilities
We have experienced instructors available at all sessions with no extra cost to help improve your technique, teach new skills and help with speed skating if you'd like to skate faster or join our team.
Cost is £5 for adults, £2.50 for juniors (under 16) and £1.50 for skate hire. Unfortunately we're no longer able to run the sessions on donations due to increased costs of the circuit, insurance, storage of kit, fuel to travel to collect the kit and training of our amazing volunteers. Unfortunately we have to pass the costs on and your support is really appreciated if we're to continue to hold these sessions.
The kit isn't kept at the circuit. We must know by 12:00 the day before if you require to hire anything to allow time for it to be collected by our volunteers prior to the session.
Preparing skates for wet weather
We won't be cancelling the sessions at West Lothian Cycle Circuit due to rain unless we think there's a safety issue. You'll always find some of our team there at our scheduled sessions regardless of the weather so click here to learn how to prepare your skate bearings for wet weather.
