FW Social

FW Social is the community arm of Falkirk Wheelers which aims to keep the community active, to contribute to community projects, create self sustaining community groups and to work with other community organisations and schools. Since we started in 2013 we have been involved with a number of organisations including Brownies, Scouts, Young Carers and schools.

From April until August 2022 we will be involved in a community project with Our Place Camelon and Tamfourhill, Police Scotland, The Conservation Volunteers, Camelon Juniors F.C., and Falkirk Rugby Club to use sport to tackle antisocial behaviour.

Social Skates

Our social skates are held in community halls and sports centres thoughout the area. These are affordable family friendly inline and roller skating sessions for all ages and abilities to some tunes. We aim to bring skating to as much of our community as we can including rural areas and some of the most deprived areas according to the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD).

We always welcome donations of any unwanted skates and pads that you've replaced or the wee ones have grown out of. By donating to us you can guarantee that you old equipment will be well used and allow us to get even more people active by introducing them to skating. Feel free to get in touch or drop off any unwanted equipment at one of our events, currently held at Airth, Avonbridge, Bo'Ness, Camelon. and Denny.
